Who Knew?

Waiting.

Lovely sentiment, but at this very moment hard to embrace.  I am trying, being strong and positive, yada yada.  I am a New Yorker, waiting is not in my makeup.  Patience yes, but waiting has somehow become an entirely different concept as of late.  Can you relate?

I’ve spent my entire life waiting and still I hate waiting.

Standing in a mess hall line starving for replenishment, taught my waiting /patience to be very thin skinned. if the ‘lion’ isn’t moving ? I leave and find another source. I would rather drive 5 miles out of the way. Than to sit fidgeting waiting for nothing to move… ;)

Hi my friend… in this little poem the master speaks about “waiting”, but not in the common sense. “Sit quietly” (in your mind: “do nothing”), beacuse even if you do something “spring comes and the grass grows by itself” (grass doesn’t need you to grow but if you free your mind and “sit quietly” you’ll enjoy spring coming and grass growing which are the secrets of universe (spring) and of life (grass)).
Events in universe are cyclic: “spring comes”, but it’s not stationary: “grass grows”, each cycle brings new life, new changes.
It’s the same thing for human beings, so you can understand that there is no difference between the universe, the grass and you, you are everything, everything is you. At this point it has no sense to speak of waiting.
